Will you make money using stocks and what are the other alternatives?

Stocks can give you the best returns for your money. But the reality is far from the truth. It can give you the best returns for the money if you pick the stocks right. That is definitely something which we need to learn. The other thing is the market timing which can result in huge profits or huge losses in a matter of  hours.

I would suggest that we learn from the best stock picker of our times namely Warren Buffet . He is a stock picker beyond comparison and has demonstrated his understanding of the stock markets time and again. He is the second richest man in the world solely with his ability to pick stocks at the right time at the right time.

Stock Market is not for the Faint hearted ! 

Looking at the current scenario of market meltdown and earlier crashes the stock market can wipe out entire investments of yours rather than making money easily via the stocks. People who owned a Lehman Brothers stock or a Washington Mutual would have seen their value now is next to nothing.

So what are your options today to earn some good passive income? What are your options if you are Risk Averse and still want that extra income ?

I am listing a few options and will keep adding more here from time to time.

Option 1 : Invest in Government Bonds which yield very low returns but carry no risk.

Option 2 : Invest in CD’s or safe bank deposits but how safe are they in the current scenario is a big question

Option 3 : Explore other avenues to make money online quietly sitting behind your home or office computer. The most favored avenue nowadays is internet and the guru of that holy grail of making money online via the internet is Grizzly Bears.  He is the “Warren Buffet” of internet marketing to put things in the right perspective.

Option 4 : Invest in Art . There is a thriving market for art and paintings from famous painters. These can be a good avenue of generating extra income though the money initially needed to invest is huge as compared to other avenue

Optio 5 : The questions how do i make  money but then I realized that online surveys are an equally good talent that we have

I will definitely keep adding to this list the avenues which are like passive investments for making more money.

Note : I have not added mutual funds as they have the same risks as stocks.
