Stock Market For Beginners

Discount Stock Brokers - Select the Best

Discount stock brokers as the name suggests are the brokers who discount the brokerage they charge to you. What they do is usually that everything is automated via the web and you can then enroll on their site. This kind of brokers are bets for the stock market for beginners trading

You then add money on to the account and begin trading.

This is quite opposite to the full service brokers who have a large number of advisors who advise you on everything that you can invest and a help you create a portfolio for you. Plus they also make sure that you are regularly given tips on anything happening in the market.

Of course if they provide such level of service they you need to decide if they should will charge high or less. Of course they will charge high plus they charge for the profits they make for you over and above a certain percentage.

Discount brokers do not advise you on anything and you are your won best judge. The brokerage they charge can be as less as $0 to $10.

Discount brokerage firms are usually all net based and they have purely automated systems as opposed to traditional brokers which have all the other things going for them including publishing traditional market research reports and also they put in trades through their system at the back end and will not sometimes allow you to trade by yourself.

In the end you decide for yourself whether you want to go with the discount stock brokers or the full service brokers.

What will happen to my stock portfolio..

would say nothing at all since the only thing that you are worried as a stock market for beginners is that since you will have all the bets spread out in a portfolio. Nothing will happen.
See my stock portfolio is spread out between defensive and aggressive stocks and cyclical and non cyclical stocks so nothing will happen.

That is not to say that I will lose money on it. I will in all probability lose money but will be able top bounce back as the stock portfolio is not that something you create and forget. You will have keep reevaluating the portfolio based on the market and economy changes.

Unless of course you are one of those types who will buy a share and forget it for a few years and then one day you check the value and it is worth a million dollars!

As newbie you can have a stock portfolio built on a number of sites that offer the facility say Excite, Yahoo and several other firms.

If you have an online brokerage account with a firm then you can build your portfolio there as that can get updated there and then with the trades that you do.

You can also create a special home page that tracks your stock portfolio on any portal which you visit frequently.

Also make sure that you add yourself the bonus and the market splits that happen as most these my stock portfolio sites will never have the feature to automatically update the corporate action happening on the stocks
