Beginning the year or 1838 to 1933 the US government issued the twenty dollar gold coins as the part of the currency however later they were withdrawn and the came into being the normal coins. In 1933 these were recalled and melted by the US mint however even today there are gold coins which have been persevered by the collectors and the coin holders. With the 20 dollar gold coins all long gone the demand for those which have not been melted remains high as they are now part of the rare coin collection for anyone.
